SLMPD Downtown District Bike Unit

The CID funds the 4th District SLMPD Police Bike Unit, the only neighborhood dedicated bike unit in the entire City. The Unit creates an enhanced, mobile on-duty police presence within Downtown.

The CID specifically funds the Bike Unit’s substation on Lucas Avenue, specialized police bikes and equipment, and training for Bike Unit officers.
